Okay... a few random things to wirte about that I may have already talked about... nothing fantastic. Some guy on tv was critiquing a scary movie and said that the characters weren't the usual "Horror movie chum". I thought it was brilliant, because that's exactly what most characters in scary movies are; chum for the killer. Heh.
Recent good song realisation: The Way by Fastball. Makes me happy at work... makes me think of somewhere else.
...I apparently don't have much brain-stimulation at work... I was cleaning the oven the other day, and for some reason started feeling like I was a dentist working on some really huge mouth. It was interesting at least... kept me entertained.
I remembered something today that Glenn did a while ago... probably wrote about it, but whatever. I was whining that I could never think of any combos, and so he said, "Just remember the KISS rule; Keep It Simple Ssss...weetheart." Heh heh heh.
Jim from work needs some holes dug for a fence... going to pay a couple friends and I $12/hour. I'm pretty excited... more exciting work than deli-ing, out in the air and etc. Should be good for me.
Read a book recently called Brave New World by Aldous Huxley (or something close to that). It's an interesting read, so I won't spoil it for anyone. Well, maybe a little. It's a futuristic novel where the entire population of the world is in a caste system, and you wear colours according to your caste. Alpha, Beta, Delta, Epsilon and Gamma. The Epsilons and Gammas can't read/write and pretty much have only motor-type functions; they do the menial work that normally, no one wants to. After I finished reading it I kept looking at people and putting them into their respective "castes"... I can tell already that there are going to be a thousand "epsilon" jokes...
So we got our final exam marks back... might have written about this already too. I got 92% on Biology (ow) and 88% in Math (woot!!!!). Erica kicked my ass in Bio: 95%. But meh. Kept my A in Math.
I keep reminding my mom that I'm going to shave my head (January 3, 2007, by the way). She keeps getting freaked out, but meh. I'm excited... can't wait to run my hands over my naked skull. Beh heh heh. I'll probably hate it but OH WELL!!
...was watching Scrubs the other day on the telly (that's right, I watched some tv!). It's a pretty awesome show, but either way, they were doing surgery and insulting one another at the same time, so, after making a rather good burn, one of the doctors held up his hand and said, "Sterile high-five!" ... He and his friend "high-fived" without touching each other's gloved hand. It was awesome. Definitely something I would do.
Recently I've been thinking about Harry Potter... I miss reading.
"Bee in your bonnet, Harry Potter?"
Blarg.
Today we had a pretty awesome moment in Chemistry:
Sean: Myles, you're wrong. In fact there's a list of how many times you've been wrong today.
Me: Can I see the list Sean?
Sean: No, Madison I'm afraid you can't.
Myles: Can I see it?
Sean: No.
Me: Ooh. Let's call it Seanler's list.
Noor: Dude! It'll be like Schindler's list, except not!
Myles and I exchanged glances.
Myles: Whoa! I hadn't even thought of that! It really is just like Schindler's list!
Me: No kidding! I totally hadn't intended that!
Meanwhile, Sean is laughing his ass off... he cracks too easily.
Noor: Man, I'm so smart! Ha, Seanler.
After several minutes, we explain our sarcasm to Noor.
Noor: Oh man, I'm so stupid! I never get sarcasm, seriously!
Sean/Madi: Really? [sarcastic tone quite blatant]
It was hilarious. A flashback to last year where Sean and I spent our Drafting hours harassing Matt Hanni, who also couldn't follow sarcasm. It's almost a sport.
Speaking of Sean, I cut up his N today with a pair of dissection scissors, and put it on the back of his van like a mosaic. Still awaiting a reaction; I told Adam to tell him, "Sorry about your N." Heh.
At least no one will take the time/effort to steal it now.
