[mood]: relative calm. So... today I was frustrated. Now, however, I feel pretty good... except for there's a light on in the rec room... ...dang. Have to go turn that off... There, all better. Let's see... last post was a while ago, so... I'll start with last Thursday, which was April 6th. Thursday was the 30-hour famine. Woke up... hungry. Didn't eat. Was okay with it because of the challenge and all... ...generally I hate not having something for breakfast... even if it's just a glass of milk. Anyway... went to school... don't think anything exciting happened. It was last block that started getting interesting... Myles commented that I was getting insane, which was probably true. What's awesome is, after school we went to his house to work on the kayaks, and most specifically, use powertools! After that I went to kung-fu, which was also interesting. Cam came, and that was cool. Lack of food made it pretty fun. Glenn let me and three others practise a gun-defensey thing, which I had been asking for. It was cool. After kung-fu I headed over to the school. The internet was down when I got there but I got to talk to Mai Youki for a while, which was really awesome. She says I might not know a lot of Japanese vocab, but it sounds good, which is great (if somewhat surprising) to hear. She also said she'd be glad to be my contact in Japan. She goes back on July 21st, so I'd have to wait at least until then to go. She lives in Kobe, which is near Osaka, the city I'm flying into (or so I think, so far). We played Cranium, watched Alien and went to bed. The morning sucked for me. It was easy to tell who had had fruit juice and who hadn't. My heart was pounding hard and fast, and my blood pressure was way low (raising my hands in the air caused them to tingle in about five seconds, sitting crosslegged as I always do caused my legs to tingle). When we first woke up we went to the foods room and had to sit and watch four teachers eat a huge meal of waffles, pancakes and bacon. Sonnuva.... After that I went back to bed. A while later I woke up, randomly uncomfortable, and turned over. NOT a good idea. I suddenly felt very ill. Tried to turn back, but that didn't work, so I headed to the washroom. Thankfully, I didn't vomit, but I did wretch, and the fact that I didn't vomit is probably only due to the fact that I had no food in my stomach. However the record still stands. Back up to two years. Have to wait a while to catch up to five (as it was before) but I'm on my way. At noon we each got $0.25 to go to Safeway, which is across the street. Some friends and I mashed our money together and bought a loaf of bread, which we got to eat along with some mac&cheese the teachers made for us. It was cool. After eating I went home, then went out to lunch with my mom... too much damn food. We then bought the materials for my prom dress: $66.oo. Yep, I was impressed too. Black, red and yellow! I went to work at 6:oo, then came home. On Saturday I went to work, then went to Justin's play, which was awesome :D It was a really fun play, and he did a great job. The cast party was cool too. Everyone was really nice. I love theatre. The director guy said I "look like I'd be good in theatre", which I found a really strange comment, but meh. It was cool. Sunday was... something... ...I really don't remember what happened on Sunday. I know I went to work... ...otherwise I apparently came home and did nothing. Yep. That's about it. Monday was today. It wasn't great. Sort of annoying. I think I was cranky. English was a waste of time, Physics somewhat annoyed me and later annoyed me further. Pretty sure I have no idea what I'm doing in Chemistry. On my spare Juline and I went to see if I could find a hostelling international card... they're supposed to have them at the college here but apparently the people there "have heard of them"... ...yeah that's bloody fantastic. Anyway, you can get them in Kimberley so I plan to go up on Wednesday. While at the college some Spanish-sounding guy came over to me and said in his little accently, "You're Justin's girlfriend!" It was funny. He showed me around to where I had to inquire about the card. He was pretty nice but I didn't get his name... Justin later informed me it's Fernando. I went to work at 5:00. Wasn't really pleased... REALLY didn't want to be there... you could tell because my customer responses sounded automated... they are, of course, but generally they sound sincere. After work I went to Justin's for a bit... sat on his balcony, made fun of his cat and ate cake... ...too much cake. Blegh. Anyway, now I'm home. Here is some other random news that didn't fit in to this thing chronologically, for some reason: Bill recently got Melissa, Erika and I together and said he "really needs us to commit to working during the summer...etc" ... ... Yeah. Heh. So I told him I was going to Japan and wouldn't be back :D It was awesome. Bwa ha. JULINE GOT A JOB!!!! More importantly, she's letting me keep her money... ...I suggested it as a jokey thing but she took me seriously, so... yer. I might drag her to Japan yet! She's going to work as a host at Mr Mike's. Kyla is very easy to surprise if you sneak up behind her and do one of those lame fake-lunges when she turns around. ...or so I've found. Heh. The other day at work was a pretty good one... she let out a yell, which was pretty fantastico. Customers were confused. I laughed my ass off for five minutes. Hee hee. Love you Kyla. Recently I've been wanting to buy a magazine... ...mostly it's just pissing me off because EVERY one that I look at has something about: So I think I'll make my own "magazine for girls who hate magazines". Of course, the market would be insanely small, but meh. It'd be cool. And yes of course, this isn't going to take up any of my precious time! ...the idea might just incubate for a while... but it will come to fruition one day! I like Harry Chapin. That is all. /mads |
